Broncos 12, Wildcats 7

Boy doesn't that sound good! The Broncos scored first in the 2nd quarter but missed the extra point. The first half ended 6-0 in favor of the Broncos. The Wildcats came back to score on their first possession in the 3rd quarter and hit their extra point to make it 7-6.

Flash forward to the 4th quarter with less than 2 minutes to play. It's 4th & 11, Bronco's ball on their own 27 yard line. Broncos down by 1 point. Blake Naler at QB in the shotgun formation. Blake starts left then turns back to the right and sees QB Travis Taylor (lined up as a wide receiver) streaking down the right sidelines.

Blake put the ball in the air 50 yards and Travis pulled it down inside the Wildcats' 30 yard line and romped into the endzone. The crowd went wild!

The Broncos are not 2-0 on the season. Now it's on to Clairemont NE next week. What will be, will be.

Welcome to the launch of westernbrown.localsportsradio.com the home of Western Brown high school sports! We're trying something new this year and are broadcasting live over the internet as well as providing the games afterwards via streaming audio and podcast.

You'll be able to listen LIVE! or listen online to the game the next day while everyone's talking about it! If you have an iPOD or other MP3 player you'll be able to download the games so you can listen whenever and wherever you want.

Ok. It was our first time out with the new equipment. Overall things went very well. The LIVE! broadcast went well, with only about 10 minutes being dropped due to technical difficulty.

Unfortunately, with new equipment come some problems. The first half of the game was accidentally overwritten. So, with all due apologies we offer the second half of the game for you to enjoy.

Next week, we will install a few things to make sure the entire game is successfully stored. We'd like to thank you for your understanding. This is a new service being brought to the fans of Western Brown sports and like anything else, you start off life on some shaky legs.

Drew Williams, Western Brown QB ran for two tuchdowns in the first half. One for 7 yards, one for 34 yards.
